Scams exist every where, not just on the internet. You may be very level headed and think you are unlikely to fall for money making scams, but unfortunately they come in many forms, and lurk everywhere.

A scam is something that is set up to defraud you. It can be to get your personal information, or it can be to sell you something that is not as described.

The one most people will fall for is, get rich quick scams. These are tough ones, many cannot be classed as scams becaus,e the webmasters are very careful how they describe the money making opportunity. The only problem with many get rich quick schemes is, that the only person getting rich quick is in fact the person who created it, the webmaster.
To avoid any get rich quick scam, always remember, "if something seems to good to be true, it usually is".
I am not saying that all make money online opportunities are scams, far from it.
Knowing if a online money making opportunity is legit.
Use Google search and forums to check out if anyone has reviewed them.
If you want to get rich from the internet, then you have to do create a niche and be exceptional at it. If you want to get involved in an existing money making opportunity, then there are lots of earn money for free websites that will help and advise you.
