Anyone who has a website should consider making money from AdSense.

A program called AdWords, makes Google the majority of it's money. AdWords is a program that lets you place an ad across the Google networks.

You can get a slice of this money, by advertising these ads on your site. This is called AdSense.

So to recap, AdWords is where you write ads and advertise on other sites and across Google. You pay for every ad click.

AdSense is when you get paid for having other people ads on your website.

You will be paid a commission, when someone clicks on one of the ads displayed on your website.

Google place ads on your site, according to your websites content. The ads are content targeted.

Having targeted ads on your site, will increase the chances of someone clicking on them. For example, if your website is all about horses, it is unlikely a visitor will click on an ad about cars.

There are ways of making sure you get the best from having AdSense on your website.

Don't click on he ads yourself, Google are clever and you will get suspended. It is really not worth the risk.

Ad placement is important. Never stop testing where on your pages is best to place the ads, Usually the best place is above the page fold.

If you make a website that is purely just for the purpose of displaying Google AdSense, then make sure you are able to write good content about your sites subject.
